More than 35 cosmetics manufacturers and suppliers, industry associations and animal welfare organizations have announced the formation of the International Collaboration on Cosmetics Safety (ICCS) to ensure that animal-free methods are accepted and used by all parties involved in cosmetics safety testing. According to ICCS, it will support the innovation of non-animal cosmetics and personal care products and ingredients by funding rigorous, scientific evaluation of new non-animal safety assessment methods.
