As a single instrument, the Multi-wavelength-LUMiSizer 651 allows for the determination of the separation velocity and particle size distributions (ISO 13318) as well as for direct accelerated stability testing of emulsions and supensions (ISO/TR 13097).
The Multi-wavelength-LUMiSizer is predestined for users with changing challenges, e.g. top research institutions, universities and industrial research units. In the past, in nanotechnology two separate LUMiSizers were needed for the most comprehensive particle characterization (depending on sample properties), now it is a simple selection of the wavelength 470 nm or 865 nm when creating the measurement SOP in SEPView®-software. There is no limitation regarding the dispersing phase, being a solvent, oil or water, flexibility is ensured by different chemically resistant, closed measuring cells.
On the other hand, customers in industry will benefit from significantly more possible fields of application. High concentrated primary dispersions, as during early process stages (production, storage, and eventually shipment), and diluted ready-to-use suspensions and emulsions, featuring different optical properties, can be measured with this new development in just one analyser, in a effective and cost-saving manner.
With the LUMiSizer, stability tests are 2300 times physically accelerated, for 12 samples simultaneously.
This permits a stability ranking and comparative or predictive shelf-life analysis of original dispersions according to ISO/TR 13097, within a short time. Measurements in LUMiSizer 651 run in the temperature range +4°C to +60°C at the appropriate application or storage temperatures.
