Compalen Slip Strip are ready-to-use care compounds from GRAFE for the production of slip strips that make wet shaving particularly gentle and pleasant. Carrier materials are polystyrene (PS) or thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) for processing by injection moulding or extrusion.
When compounding Compalen Slip Strip, GRAFE uses its extensive know-how in the additivation of thermoplastics to combine the respective base material with freely selectable colour pigments and functional fillers. These are embedded in the plastic purely physically, without adhesion promoters. The customer can choose between proven active ingredient formulations and the development of his own, individually tailored compounds. Supplied as free-flowing granules, both are suitable for direct processing in co-extrusion or 2-component injection moulding together with compatible thermoplastics that provide mechanical stability, such as PS or ABS.
Due to the high filler content, a certain amount of the additive formulation lies freely on the surface of the so-called Lubra-Strips (lubricant) after processing. This allows the components to dissolve in contact with water, swell and thus unfold their effect. The soaps, fats and oils contained provide a pleasant gliding effect that protects the skin from irritation. In addition, it is possible to integrate further care and fragrance ingredients and combine them with the desired trend colour. The variety of possible combinations is almost unlimited.
