in-cosmetics returns to Paris from 12-14 April 2016

The world’s leading personal care ingredients event will return to Paris this April with the biggest show in its 26-year history. Taking place from 12-14 April and covering more than 16,000sqm, the three-day event is expected to attract more than 9,000 visitors from the cosmetic industry.
There is plenty in store with more than 780 international suppliers representing 46 countries. Formulators, buyers and consultants will be able to source ingredients from across the globe when the show kicks off at the Paris Expo, Porte de Versailles, France.
A world-class educational programme will be in session during the event, with more than 100 hours of free Marketing Trends presentations and 80 hours of Innovation Seminars taking place. There will also be a number of paid-for scientific and regulatory Workshops, as well as Live Demonstrations at the event’s Innovation Zone.
Reflecting its importance to the global cosmetics and personal care industry, in-cosmetics will place the USA under the spotlight in a Market Focus feature at the Paris event. A dedicated pavilion, supported by the US Department of Commerce, will house raw material and ingredients businesses from across the region, enabling visitors to meet new suppliers and identify ingredients that have the potential to create the next generation of cosmetic products.
A further 50-plus US-based ingredients companies will take their place on the show floor including Ashland, AMA Laboratories and Elementis.
Two new features will be showcased at Paris, which have been brought into the in-cosmetics experience to help businesses learn about trends and source different ingredients. A Sensory Bar, devised as a response to demand for direct interaction, will house a ‘try-out’ area to encourage visitors to test innovative textures and sensations. Among those taking part are Ashland, Clariant, KOLB, Lucas Meyer, Oat Cosmetics and Sophim.
Also new to in-cosmetics in Paris will be the Formulation Lab – a purpose-built laboratory on the show floor. Exhibitors including Evonik, Ashland and Lucas Meyer will host more than 10 one-hour sessions, allowing finished product manufacturers to learn direct from the experts.
The Lab Equipment Zone is another brand new addition to the in-cosmetics show, highlighting the latest developments from the world of lab equipment. Meanwhile, the Testing and Regulation Zone will host over 50 exhibitors and provide advice on regulatory compliance, measuring efficacy and ensuring the safety, stability and shelf-life of products. Finally, over 40 fragrance manufacturers will be on hand in the Fragrance Zone to discuss the latest trends, formulation challenges and consumer buying behaviour.
The coveted in-cosmetics awards will also return in 2016, with the Lifetime Achievement Award back for the next winner in its three-year cycle. The Innovation Zone Best Ingredient Award, Green Award and brand new Sensory Award will also be presented for products that highlight innovative science and provide substantial benefits to the end user.
The event will take place at the Paris Expo in Porte de Versailles, Paris from 12-14 April 2016. Visitors can register for free up until 2pm (CET) on 11 April.
