Novio Packaging Group, an international player in the packaging industry, has acquired the German-Swiss packaging company Flacopac/Deflaco. This move increases the group’s market share in Europe and gives the Netherlands-based company a stronger presence in the industry. Novio Packaging, which previously acquired Haal Verpakkingen and Scandinavian Packaging AS in 2018, has again expanded its sales channels and customer base in Europe through the acquisition of Flacopac (Germany) and sister company Deflaco (Switzerland) in 2019.
Flacopac and Deflaco will continue their development activities at the existing sites. No staff changes are planned. Jürgen Schmidt remains associated with both companies as a consultant. Hans- Jürgen Schmidt stays on as the Managing Director of Flacopac. Melanie von Escher continues to manage Deflaco, which she reorganised in 2015. Both companies will continue to operate under their current names during the coming year.

Together with Swiss sister company Deflaco, Flacopac now increasingly develops packaging systems in glass and plastic, e.g. the company’s well-known patented Quickbrush system for nail polish and the Moduli roll-on units, which have become almost universal mass-market products. At the same time, the German-Swiss group offers tubular glass and sampling services. Flacopac/Deflaco are internationally known for their broad product range, services and innovative products. The companies operate from Deizisau (Germany) and Thalwil (Switzerland) and employ 16 people in total.
