On the 23.12.2015, the president of the Alantana Group, Olten (Switzerland), Dr. Alfred Betschart and Mr. Marcus Mausberg, who to date has been the managing partner of neochem GmbH, Menden (Germany) issued/are issuing a joint statement regarding the positive conclusion of mutual talks concerning the complete takeover of neochem by the Alantana Group.
As Alfred Betschart states, “The consistent interpretation of neochem‘s business model towards technical consultancy related to applications and neochem’s interesting product range complement the Alantana group perfectly”. Marcus Mausberg adds, “In order to face up to the challenges of financial strength and regulatory requirements, being a member of the Alantana Group puts us in a significantly better position than we could achieve individually”.
A team of experts, who are able to look back on years of experience in the cosmetics and detergents industry, work under the umbrella of neochem GmbH, founded in 2007. In the field of personal care, neochem not only offers emollients and emulsifiers made by RES PHARMA S.r.l., Milan (I), but also thickeners and UV filters made by 3V Sigma SpA, Bergamo (I) as well as plant-based proteins and active agents made by TRI-K Industries, Northvale, NJ (USA) an. Furthermore, the company markets mineral UV filters based on zinc oxide made by Antaria Ltd. Welshpool (AU) under the brand name ‘ZinClear®’. These products are custom made for the European market. The household/I&I segment is served by Zinc ricinoleates, surfactants and fluorine specialities made by ICT, Cartersville (GA, USA) and an extensive range of surfactants made in Western European and American factories. As Mausberg adds, “As an unchanged team, as neochem GmbH, all our strength will continue to go into serving our customers and suppliers”. Marcus Mausberg will remain as the managing director.
