Dr. Tilmann Reuter, Lecturer for Cosmetic Sciences at the University of Hamburg, presents the two basic theories for skin aging: One is the theory of oxidative stress, one is the theory based on the less active effects of hormones. He gives examples for the most impartant anti-ageing actives, for example vitamines or flavonoids and also explains why he thinks that peptides are the actives with most potential for future products and formulations.
