Skin & Hair Hydration and Cuticle Defence from Croda’s Latest Product Launches

Croda launches Hydrosativum™ P and Crodasone™ P, two new biopolymers derived from the superfood Pisum Sativum or ‘pea’, which provides a rich source of amino acids. Ingredients derived from superfood sources have become increasingly popular. Croda have used their 40 years of experience in proteins to develop Hydrosativum™ P and   Crodasone™ P, that not only meet this superfood trend but provide functional benefits to final products.
Hydrosativum™ P is a highly moisture retentive biopolymer that exhibits powerful moisturisation properties in hair, skin and scalp care formulations. Hydrosativum™ P can improve firmness and elasticity of the skin and provides additional anti-irritancy properties. Hydrosativum™ P is naturally substantive to a variety of hair types and hydrates hair at a wide range of humidities, increasing hair plasticity to help prevent breakage.
Crodasone™ P offers proven protection against cuticle cracking caused by blow-drying, combing and styling. Crodasone™ P cross-links on drying and forms a conditioning and protective network that offers functional benefits to all types of hair care products. Crodasone™ P is ideally suited to leave-on styling products but is also proven to be effective in rinse-off applications.
Croda have developed a range of formulations that contain Hydrosativum™ P and   Crodasone™ P, such as the ‘Scoopable Hair Souffle’, a nourishing hair mask with a novel texture and full of additional superfoods including pomegranate, apple and blueberry.
