Symrise has launched “Dragosine“ green, a multifunctional L-carnosine ingredient designed for skin longevity, well-aging, and prejuvenation concepts. Produced entirely from plant-based sources using green biotechnology and fermentation, the ingredient has a natural origin index of 1. It is designed to support skin against exposome-related stressors such as UV-induced oxidative stress, blue light, infrared radiation, and heat, while promoting collagen formation, epidermal renewal, fibronectin production, and protection against glycation and cellular aging. The water-soluble ingredient is stable when exposed to air and heat and can be used from a concentration of 0.2% in applications including facial, body, sun care, and dermocosmetic formulations.
