The more changes there are in the market for natural and organic cosmetics, the more important it becomes for individual brands to set themselves apart. Therefore this year´s Natural & Organic Cosmetics Conference* will focus on the topic of brand management and today´s consumer expectations concerning natural and organic cosmetics. The Conference is held October 6-7, 2015 at the Hotel Ellington Berlin, Germany.
Brands don´t follow, they lead is the topic of an insightful keynote presentation by Christoph Engl, Managing Director Brand Trust in Nuremberg. Engl analyzes the changes in the natural cosmetics market and points out which parameters will be decisive for future success in the natural cosmetics market – also showing where there is a necessity to act: „The natural and organic cosmetics industry needs strong manufacturer brands that have the confidence to go their own ways. This is possible since the brand-lever of `authenticity´ can be employed, while conventional cosmetic brands often only relate to the topic of `organic´ on the marketing surface“, states Engl. During this year´s Conference the consumers will be in a special limelight.
Exclusively for the Natural & Organic Cosmetics Conference Schaefer Market Research carried out a market study comparing the perception of natural and organic cosmetics vs. prestige cosmetics and will be presenting the results.
„The findings were surprising“, reveals Felix Schaefer, Managing Director of the company based in Hamburg. „The results of our study show how far consumers interested in specific skin care benefits trust natural and organic cosmetics. The study therefore offers good indications on how to gain ground with intelligent marketing strategies.“
Current market research findings by GfK and Euromonitor from London will document international trends and show the potentials within the market. The renowned futurologist Prof. Dr. Harald Welzer will offer a radical approach with his position on reducing consumption.
What will communication be like in the future? In his keynote presentation, Prof. Dr. Ulrich Reinhardt of the BAT-Foundation for Future Studies will highlight the changes brought on by social media, how they have changed communication with customers as well as the consequences for retailing in the future.
On the second day of the Conference, Panel A will take an in-depth look at these topics. The EHI Retail Institute from Cologne will present current findings of a survey. Retailers had provided information on behavioural changes towards online communication and ecommerce. In Panel B, speakers and participants will address another important question: Does additional certification make sense and how important is it for the international market?
