On September 9, 2015, CREMER OLEO GmbH & Co. KG has signed an agreement with a fully owned subsidiary of IOI Corporation Berhad (IOIC) about the sale of its entire industrial business consisting of the production sites in Witten and Wittenberge and its associated business activities in Hamburg.
IOIC oleochemical division based in Malaysia is one of the leading oleochemical producers in the world. IOIC considers the intended acquisition as a timely and synergistic opportunity to move further up the value chain with an investment in more specialized downstream oleochemical manufacturing business.
The acquisition is subject to approval of the relevant antitrust authorities as well as subject to fulfilment of certain conditions precedent.
CREMER OLEO GmbH & Co. KG is convinced to have found with IOIC a reliable buyer for the industrial business of CREMER OLEO allowing to sustainably developing the businesses at the existing production sites.
Please also note that the remaining part of CREMER Oleo will not be affected by the proposed divestment of CREMER OLEO’s industrial business and will continue to be your partner with focus on its core business of the global supply of vegetable based Fatty Acids, Fatty Alcohols, Glycerine, Soap Noodles, Animal Feed Fats, Methyl Esters/Biodiesel and other derivatives.
