Greentech presents new insights into microbiota research for skin care

During the upcoming COSM’ING congress  Mathieu BEY, Doctor of microbiology and R&D manager at BIOVITIS a subsidiary of GREENTECH will be presenting an innovative approach for cosmetics, the development of active ingredients targeting the skin microbiota.
GREENTECH and BIOVITIS constantly look for understanding the mechanisms involved at skin surface, and develop active ingredients based on microorganisms, to balance skin microbiota; a field in cosmetics with growing importance.
Indeed, modulating the composition of the skin microbiome allows maintaining and  restoring the microbial homeostasis, and thus to prevent or treat various skin disorders. These high-tech active ingredients are developed with probiotic strains, beneficial microorganisms that strengthen skin’s barrier function, and have anti-inflammatory and moisturizing effects.
From the fermentation of lactic acid bacteria, was created:
BIOTILYS® protecting the skin  against external aggressions and speeding up skin regeneration. A powerful active against skin burnout. (http://www.greentechgmbh.de/wirkstoffe/bioltilys-hautbarriere/)
From proteobacteria was created
SOMITINE® is an energy and radiance booster which intensifies the energy metabolism, increases cell regeneration and revitalizes the skin to give its full radiance back.
This conference will provide a new and different look on the kin ecosystem:
By providing a supplement in good bacteria, the microflora balance is maintained,
the skin barrier is efficient, and the skin is healthy.
