Mibelle Biochemistry launches neurocosmetic active Pinolumin

Pinolumin is a novel neurocosmetic active from the wood of Swiss stone pine. This is a long living alpine tree that grows at very high altitudes and in spite of the extremely harsh conditions can live up to 1200 years. Swiss stone pine contains a resveratrol-like molecule called pinosylvin. Pinosylvin has shown to neutralize free radicals, block pain receptors present in the skin and reduce inflammation through several biological pathways. This is especially of value for irritated and sensitive skin, where pain receptors are constantly active and lead to itching, inflammation and an uneven appearance of the skin. With Pinolumin Mibelle Biochemistry developed an active to capture the beneficial effects of Swiss stone pine in order to reduce skin irritation and inflammation.
Pinolumin has shown to inhibit the function of the pain receptor TRPV1 which is over-activated in sensitive and stressed skin. Consequently, Pinolumin inhibits the release of pro-inflammatory mediators. Furthermore, Pinolumin protects skin collagen by inhibiting the UVA-induced production of MMP-1.

  • Calms sensitive and irritated skin
  • Visibly reduces redness and age spots
  • Creates a more even toned skin for a youthful radiance

Clinical studies showed that Pinolumin was able to both strongly and visibly reduce local redness and age spots on the face, which led to a noticeable increase in the overall skin tone homogeneity. Pinolumin protects and soothes the skin, transforming it into a flawless and radiant skin.
