Schwan Cosmetics: Digital expert joins management team

Schwan Cosmetics, globally active company in the development and manufacture of cosmetic pencils, brings on board the digital expert Bernd Preuschoff, as Vice President, Digital Transformation. "For Schwan Cosmetics, digitisation is a solid factor in our future strategy, as both cosmetics users and our employees evolve in today’s digital world," says Jörg Karas, CEO of Schwan Cosmetics. "Bernd Preuschoff will take advantage of the variety of opportunities that the digital transformation brings, to enrich our strategy with new business concepts and ideas from the digital world."
Bernd Preuschoff (44) is, as of now, responsible for the development of the digital sector and will, in the future, control all initiatives concerning digital transformation at Schwan Cosmetics.
He has many years of experience in this field and was most recently an Associate Partner in IBM’s digital agency, IBM Interactive Experience (iX). He describes himself as a "coach for the digital world". As such, he wants to give a boost to digital issues and support people with digital approaches. "The cosmetics industry is a very exciting field which, compared to other industries, is still in the infancy of its digital development and, therefore, offers a lot of room for innovation," explains Bernd Preuschoff.
The business graduate started his career in 2000 as a new venture consultant at Accenture’s Business Launch Center. It was followed by various positions as process and strategy consultant at Ingram Micro, Newtron AG, Primondo and SapientNitro. In 2012, he joined IBM, where he was, most recently, Strategy Lead DACH and Associate Partner at IBM Interactive Experience.
