Cacay Oil – the hidden secret of the Amazon for skincare

In the middle of the Colombian Amazon-Orinoco region grows an evergreen tree called Cacay, which bears a nut-like fruit that provides a pure and light natural active ingredient called Cacay Oil. It is an active ingredient that has been used by indigenous groups since ancient times to naturally treat irritations, burns and scars.
Arlés is one of the few producers of Cacay Oil in the world and the only one whose harvest is certified sustainable. The ingredient is of natural origin and is extracted by cold pressing from the almonds of the fruit of the Cacay tree.
Cacay Oil has the highest content of linoleic acid, vitamins A, E and F, sterols and squalene, compared with other vegetable oils, and has been tested in various clinical cases and trials that demonstrate its great efficacy in improving the condition of skin, hair and nails for both preventive and curative purposes.

Among its main benefits, Cacay Oil:

For the skin:

  • Promotes cell division and regeneration process
  • Provides antioxidant effects
  • Increases the hydration, firmness, elasticity and smoothness

For the hair:

  • Prevents hair loss
  • Strengthens hair follicles

For the nails:

  • Strengthens nails

Arlés not only produces sustainably but has also initiated a foundation that contributes to the reforestation of the Amazon, the creation of jobs for indigenous communities and the conservation of flora and fauna.
