Evonik: Price increase for Personal Care Ingredients

Price increase of up to 10%

Evonik Industries announced a price increasef up to 10 % for its ersonal care ingredients business, effective for all deliveries as of uly 1st, 2011. The price increase is prompted by higher cost of raw materials and feedstocks, as well as regulatory, energy, transportation and packaging cost drivers. As far as permissible under existing agreements, the price of all products will increase by up to 10%.
Evonik makes every effort to keep improving its production processes by making them more efficient. However, steep increases in the costs of raw materials, energy and transportation leave the
company with no other choice but to pass on to customers some of the resulting increases in its production costs. The price increase is also necessary to ensure that the high quality standard of its
products is maintained.
