To ensure the safety of cosmetic products and to reinforce market monitoring there is now a new notification procedure. The way in which the Internet-based interactive Cosmetic Products Notification Portal (abbreviated to CPNP) operates, and some points to watch when submitting a notification, are explained by Dr. Botho Krämer of KMU Cosmetic Services, in COSSMA 10/2012.
