For our Global Product Engineering Department located in Volketswil ZH, we are looking for a
Raw Material & Formulation Project Leader (100%)
In this position, you are in charge of raw material management and formula development, optimization and implementation of reformulations through Supply Chain of our cutting edge and luxurious formulations.
Responsibilities
- Raw Material & Fragrance Management
- Manage Supplier Relationship (be first contact, supplier qualification)
- Manage and ensure implementation of Raw Materials
- Contribute to the Raw Material Strategy
- Coordinate all activities for introduction and updates of Raw Materials (Documentation, support to regulatory affairs, safety checks, SAP data), communicate to all relevant departments
- Support Registration process with required data
- Release changes on raw materials for 3PMs, orders and scrapping according to contract guidelines
- Alert and develop action plan to secure Raw Material and formula portfolio
- Document and communicate affected raw materials and/or formulas and timings
- Steer implementation of new / reworked fragrances
- Development and Reformulation of marketed products
- Review and adapt raw materials used in our formulations to increase operating window, reduce costs, harmonize portfolio
- Coordinate formula development with external labs
- Lead projects within a cross-functional team (Procurement, Safety, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, Packaging, Planners, Industrialisation, 3PM…)
- Ensures regular reporting and transparent documentation of the results
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Science or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of experience in cosmetic industry (formula development, research, procurement…)
- Strong formulation and profound raw material know how
- Team player who is willing to learn and adapt
- Good communication and problem solving skills, hands-on approach
- Experiences in Project Management
- Leadership skills
- Fluent in German and English
