Imitations of natural materials such as stone or wood in polymers are still a trend and thus very much in demand. Lifocolor has succeeded in developing new effect masterbatches whose colouring makes for an effective granite look. During the CosmeticBusiness trade fair, the company will present two of its current four effect concentrates in a jar and a bottle. These effects are currently created with formulas for polyolefins (PE, PP) and initial engineering polymers (ABS, PMMA, TPE) and meet the requirements for approval for food contact in accordance with 10/2011 EU and FDA regulations. They can be processed using common injection and extrusion techniques at temperatures up to 280 degrees Celsius.
