To accelerate packaging innovations and facilitate global exchange and cooperation between different disciplines, Metsä Board has opened a new Excellence Centre in Äänekoski, Finland. Its design allows considering entire product life cycles, from material development to production and recyclable design. As the necessary tools, a strong partner network and experts are all available in one place, projects can be implemented much more quickly.
But customers can also benefit virtually via online services. For example, the Excellence Centre offers three co-creation workshops – Performance clinic, Challenge us and Explore the future – which respond to the customers’ needs to improve their current packaging or develop completely new solutions.
