He sees a lot of development in the high-tech part of the market, for example electronic devices in applicators. Nevertheless, also the low-tech market shows some development, focusing on low-cost solutions for discount and mass market accounts. In his opinion, there are a lot of ideas in patent databases that could be sucessfully recycled with new processes or new ideas. The mascara market has seen a lot of growth recently, but is now stabilising. The next challenge in his opinion will be to find a high-protection, convenient solution for lip stick applicators.
