Cacharel’s Yes I Am reinvents the fragrance: one of the most powerful symbols of femininity, the red lipstick, is recast as a scent in an all-new perfume design. Albéa developed the surprising red lipstick cap. The perfume combines the elegance of a lipstick and the sensuality of a fragrance. The lipstick-like spray cap dispenses the perfume. It is composed of six technical components. The Yes I Am logo is gently embossed on the collar. This technological accomplishment provides optimal function and an instinctive gesture.

Coverpla introduces a new range of bold and coloured Dupont’s Surlyn over-moulded caps, see lead photo. The ability to over-mould in many different colours allows for creating unique packaging that harmonises well with brand identity and can be customised to reflect the latest trends. Using the over-moulding (Surlyn 3D) technology, the new cap is made of an inside coloured cube, over-moulded with a thick, crystal-clear and high-gloss layer. This 2-in-1 concept can be produced in multiple colours, shapes and decorative styles for the internal part of the cap, protected and accentuated by the depth and surface finish of the over-moulding. The standard size of the cap allows it to fit on the many different bottles and jars of Coverpla’s range. For the latest fragrance in the Goldea range, Bvlgari has chosen a chiaroscuro bottle, capturing strong tonal contrasts. The deep black lacquered bottle is crowned with a thick yet uniquely transparent ellipsoidal cap made of Surlyn. While the iconic water-drop silhouette of the Goldea bottle was retained, the cap has a unique design to differentiate it from previous editions. The cap of The Roman Night is injected in one single shot. It diffuses the light and draws attention to the black and gold Serpenti ring signature of the brand  which is reflected inside the cap. 

For Matic Plast Milano, an Italian specialist in thermoplastic injection moulding, only the Surlyn resin met the demanding specifications for this project. With the perfume Terre de Lumière, L’Occitane created scents of Provence at the golden hour, the short moments just before sunrise or before sunset. The Surlyn cap made by Albéa captures and diffuses the light of the new perfume. The bottle is sculpted like a pebble polished by time, while its red-orange cap captures the shades of the Provencal sky. The transparency and natural brilliance of Surlyn made it possible to create the luminous rendering of a sunrise or sunset on a summer’s day, allowing the cap to reflect the colour of the perfume, which shines from inside the bottle.
