MWV inaugurates New Melodie Pump Production Line

MeadWestvaco Corp. announced the startup of its’ expanded production capacity for the Melodie fragrance pump in the company’s Barcelona, Spain facility.

With a multi-million Euro capital investment committed in 2011, MWV is doubling the plant’s capacity for the low profile Melodie pump. The company officially inaugurated the production line startup on Tuesday, January 31, during a ceremony and celebration attended by many of its major European clients.

In addition to the modernization of the injection molding and assembly of existing machinery, MWV has also installed best-in-class high cavitation molds and high speed assembly lines. These state-of-the-art improvements provide increased capacity and flexibility, while also helping reduce the facility’s CO₂ emissions.
