Cosmetic Business provides an overview of the entire sector and some new features in the exhibition concept – for the first time on a Wednesday and Thursday. The international trade fair of the cosmetics supplying industry presents its visitors with everything that is needed to create new cosmetic products – from the raw ingredients to manufacture and packaging. The B2B trade fair CosmeticBusiness is being held in the MOC centre in Munich on 10 and 11 June 2015.

”Exciting new exhibitors, increasing international participation and the whole bandwidth of the cosmetics supplying industry in Halls 2, 3 and 4 in Munich's MOC exhibition and events centre all go to make CosmeticBusiness a must-visit event for the cosmetics industry and its suppliers. When the decision to move the event to Wednesday and Thursday was taken, it was in response to the needs of our exhibitors and visitors,” explains Markus Geisenberger, Managing Director of Leipziger Messe.

Trade fair's international influence spreads

Among the 400 or so suppliers expected to attend, there are at least 40 new exhibitors, whose presence is set to enhance the portfolio of CosmeticBusiness still further. In line with developments at previous CosmeticBusiness events, the proportion of exhibitors coming from outside Germany will again be in the region of a third. They will be coming from more than 20 different countries, mainly from Italy, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Poland and Austria. In addition, we are expecting, for the first time, exhibitors from Denmark, Belgium and Bulgaria, as well as again from Sweden.

CB Spotlight in the limelight

For 2015, CosmeticBusiness brings with it one particularly notable new feature: the CB Spotlight. This special exhibition, in an exclusively designed area within the trade fair, offers a display area in Munich's MOC in which to showcase some of the exhibition highlights and throws the spotlight on the exhibitors' new products and product innovations.

Specialist areas continue to develop further

The range of raw materials on offer at CosmeticBusiness continues the trend for natural sources and sustainability in 2015. As a result, this area records continuous strong growth. As the Kline market-research institute predicts, the market for natural cosmetics is set to grow by 9.2% by 2018. The new exhibitors in the raw materials group – Cosphatec, Follmann and CFF – are also, in the main, offering solutions with raw materials and ingredients from natural sources, and are thus very much in line with this development.

When it comes to the manufacturing section, over 60 exhibitors are expected in Munich in 2015. This confirms the role of CosmeticBusiness as an exhibition, with the largest range of contract manufacturers and private-label producers for cosmetics, skin-care products, perfumes and hygiene items in the German-speaking world. New exhibitors who have already signed up include, amongst others, Dr. Rimpler, Wagener, Toyo, Deutsche Aerosol and Ars Parfüm from Germany. Exhibiting for the first time, too, are Cosmitaly and Mario Zunino from Italy. IMA – also an Italian company – will add their presence to the machinery section at CosmeticBusiness.

Appropriate packaging for every product

Visitors to CosmeticBusiness can expect the largest possible range of packaging solutions for cosmetic products and have, as a result, an excellent opportunity to get a comprehensive overview of this specialised field in a short space of time.

With over 20 suppliers of folding cartons and display boxes, the sectors for cardboard packaging and POS display solutions can once again boast a strong presence in Munich, this time all concentrated in Hall 4. Cosmetics brands are increasingly heavily involved in the use of many and varied ways of enhancing the packaging, so as to attract the customer's attention at the POS. There will be a plentiful variety of examples of this trend on display at CosmeticBusiness. The trend is particularly evident in the case of folding cartons. Amongst the exhibitors attending for the first time in the summer are the Carl Edelmann and the CDE Group.

At the same time, we shall be able to welcome some 30 tube suppliers at CB and, amongst them, the prize-winners of the “Tube of the Year Award 2014”, organised by the European Tube Manufacturers Association (etma) and including, for instance, Essel, Hoffmann Neopac and Albéa. High-quality packaging in glass, which is particularly attractive to the perfume industry, again represents a section of the exhibition that will be much in demand. Those expected in this area include, amongst others, Heinz Glas, Miron Violettglas, Oskar Karla, Gerresheimer and Baralan. Accessories, such as brushes and attractive systems for boxed and presentation sets complete the range of goods on offer.

The dimensions of the world of labelling and labels are constantly increasing and are more diverse than is often assumed. Solutions extend from various technical indicators, options relating to identification and traceability and functional labels in the interests of safety, handling and convenience to special labels for sales promotions. Trends, such as sleeves, which are highly decorative, are particularly suitable for positioning products in the market place, or digital printing, which can be used for small and exclusive print runs, are major indications of the way the sector is developing. CosmeticBusiness has already shown very positive growth, specifically in this area – the range of products and services for labelling and identification may well be double what it was – and has added some exciting exhibitors, with Reynders Etiketten from Belgium, Aniflex from Poland as well as Top Label and Etikett Schiller from Germany.

Inspiration from the professional programme

Current trends, for example in the field of packaging and product enhancement, together with new developments, also provide a centre of focus, as do socio-demographic and social factors that impact on consumer behaviour. These and other topics will be presented in lectures given by sector experts on current trends. These talks will take place as part of the professional programme at CosmeticBusiness, details of which will be available online from April 2015.

Visitor registration starts in February 2015

The registration period for visitors to CosmeticBusiness 2015 begins on 2 February. Visitors who decide early can request a free ticket for the trade show on the Wednesday. This offer is available until 20 March 2015. Other ticket options will then be available, as from 13 April 2015, in the online ticket shop. The online exhibitor index will, from the beginning of February, offer the opportunity to get information in good time and take advantage of this 'watch list' to help with planning a visit to the show.
