Eric Perrier: Innovation at LVMH
Eric Perrier, Executive Vice President R&D at LVMH, presents the most recent product innovations of LVMH group. In his opinion, the findings of the universities of Stanford and Modena in adult stem cell research are a major breakthrough which will cause a revolution in the development of personal care actives. Dior uses innovative stem cell concepts for example in its "One Essential" facial care product. Guerlain's "Orchidée Imperiale" line also counts on innovative actives. By using an innovative, ball-shaped applicator, Givenchy could establish a new gesture in mascara application. In its fine fragrance business, LVMH will increase the quality of the raw material used, organic and fair trade ingredients will gain in importance. In colour cosmetics, LVMH will come up with using light-enhancing glass balls for skin illumination, a technology also used in traffic signs.
