Nice that you have time right now. I don’t have any. In fact, I’m a bit panicked because I have to completely revise the marketing campaign for our new product line. Who would have guessed that the hype about this sustainability would last so long?

With Corona, people only kept up for a year before they got tired of Lanz (German TV-presenter) and Lauterbach (Federal Minister for Health in Germany). And no one has long been interested in whether Ukraine defends the remains of Bachmut or not. But sustainability – that is still on!

Actually, I wanted to promote happiness, efficiency and well-being. But now the theme has to be sustainability and inclusion. And preferably all at the same time. Like this company, which is now using an attractive young woman to advertise a device that enables her to apply her lipstick as beautifully as if it was applied by a makeup stylist.

One has to know that this woman suffers from cerebral palsy and according to her own admission, has difficulties in moving her hands. But with this device, her main problems should be solved. Well, she is still in a wheelchair and people with cerebral palsy typically also suffer from seizures, communication disorders, hearing and vision problems, but so what if the lipstick fits! But that’s not even the point.

Of course, this woman also belongs to the people of color and probably somehow also to the LGBTQ+ scene. Did you know that the number of young people seeking psychological treatment is on the rise? A child psychologist told me so. Because the young people completely lose their orientation due to all the queer advertising these days. I think they don’t even know who they can, should or want to have a relationship with anymore.

But I don’t care either, I’m now betting on a plant from the Amazon rainforest. Organic quality of course and also bio-based, biodegradable, sustainable, naturally derived and ethically sourced. That wasn’t easy, because the people in the Amazon definitely didn’t want to become a social project. Not even for money. Instead, they wanted heavy equipment from me to fell the trees. They asked me if I still had an old excavator for levelling the forests.

But then I told them about the climate change and the rising sea levels and bang – they gave me the plant and thanked me even for saving the planet with their help. I only hope nobody notices that the stuff came to Europe on a cargo ship and that had a diesel engine. But what could I do, suitable sailing boats are all doing the ‘ocean race’ right now. Oh dear, I can already see the activists glued to my store shelves.

All the best yours Hagen Döring
